Goa is nut just about beautful beaches and architectural churches. There are some of the best temples in the sttae. Nagush Temple is amongt the most visited temple located at a distance of approximately 35 kilometers from Panjim village of Bandora, about 4 kilometers from Ponda Taluka. The temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva who is said to be the destroyer in the Hindu mythology. The temple has a gallery on both the sides with intricate wooden carvings depicting the events from the great epic of Ramayana on one side and wooden images of Astadikpal and Gandharva on the other. 

Built in 1413, Nagush Temple in Bandora is one of the oldest temples in Bandora, Goa. The temples is known to have great archaeological importance too. Along with that, there is a five-storied lamp tower known as Deepstambh and the historic old water tank Kunda in which you can see the reflection of the Lord Nagush.

The entrance to te main temple looks elegant and has a stone structure of Nandi Bull. On the either side of the sanctum there are the shrines of Lakshmi -Narayan and Lord Ganesh.

The temple was constructed in 1780 AD and the annual jatra of the temple is held in the month of Chaitra (March-April) during Ramanavami. Apart from that, Shivratri is also celebrated with Rathotsava on Magha Amavasya at the temple. Additionally, the temple also possess agrashalas or the guest houses with well equipped rooms for weddings purposes and lodging of the pilgrims. Other than that, the temple is also famous for having a Talai or water tank that always possesses crystal clear water in it.
