Located on the west coast of India is the smallest state of Goa. The land of sun sand, and beaches is one of the major hub for tourists in India. The place attracts large number of tourists from all over the world towards it serene beaches and fabulously equipped cities. The major cities of the state are Mapusa, Panaji, Vasco, Ponda and Margao. While Panaji is the capital of Goa, Vasco holds the position for largest cities in the state. the headquarters of North Goa and south Goa lies in Panaji and Margao. Margao is also an important commercial hub for south of Goa. 

Most of the Goan cities were headquarters of the Portuguese conquests in Goa including Margao, Panaji and Mapusa. These cities started developing with the increase of trade and commerce in the region. The porta city of Vasco grew with the people working at the dockyard, port and shipbuilding industry.

Each city possesses its own specialty with the common Goan culture and various Portuguese aspects. People comprises of different religion including Portuguese, Hindus, Christians and Muslims as well. The cultural diversity is bound to be experienced with the change in religion in all Goan cities. Still withstanding difference in communities, people in Goan be it any of the city are friendly and equally humble towards each other. Each city in Goa protects its own identity through the fabulous beaches, churches and other architectures from Portugal era.

Lies in less proximity, cities of go are well connected to each other. Each possesses some of the most popular towns includi8ng the few names of Calangute, Porvorim, Bicholim, Sankhelim, Pernem, Sanvordem, Sanguem and Colva. With the increasing commercialization in these cities and town, Goa seems to be progressing with its stature and developing all the way.
